The j5create JUR260 is a USB Smart Card / CAC Reader supporting ISO/IEC 7816 Class A, B and C cards with T=0 and T=1 protocols. It provides USB-C 3.2 and USB-A 2.0 connectivity, EMV4.3c and PBOC3.0 Level 1 certification, automatic card detection and plug-and-play support for compatible Windows, macOS and Linux systems. Its TAA-compliant design is rated for 100,000 card insertions.

The j5create JUR260 USB Smart Card / CAC Reader provides secure access to compatible smart cards, CAC cards and identification cards for business, government and authentication applications. It supports ISO/IEC 7816 Class A, B and C cards and offers both USB-C and USB Type-A host connectivity for broad computer compatibility.
Broad Smart Card and CAC Compatibility
The JUR260 supports ISO 7816 Class A, B and C smart cards operating at 5V, 3V and 1.8V with T=0 and T=1 contact protocols. It is designed for CAC software and is compatible with supported U.S. Government DOD identification cards for secure login applications.
USB-C and USB-A Connectivity
Integrated USB-C 3.2 and USB Type-A 2.0 host connectors provide flexible connectivity with compatible computers. The 200 cm cable offers convenient placement on office desks, workstations and service counters.
Plug-and-Play Operation
The reader supports Microsoft USB-CCID, WHQL and HCK standards for plug-and-play operation on supported systems without additional device drivers. It is compatible with Windows, macOS and supported 64-bit Linux distributions.
Security and Compliance
An EMV4.3c Level 1 and PBOC3.0 Level 1 certified controller supports security and compliance requirements. Additional features include card-type auto detection, power-saving mode, USB selective suspend, remote wake-up and protection against short circuit, overheating and card-power overcurrent.
Durable Professional Design
The JUR260 is designed and assembled in Taiwan and is TAA compliant. Its smart-card slot is rated for up to 100,000 insertions, making it suitable for government, business, authentication and other frequent-use environments.
